Alta Allemang

  Funeral services for Mrs. Alta Allemang,
68, who had made her home near Mauston
since 1919, were held from the Baptist
church here Sunday afternoon with the
Rev. C.R. Albin conducting the rites.
Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery.

  Mrs. Allemang died in a Marshfield hospital
on Thursday, Jan. 15, 1948, after suffering
a heavy cerebral hemmorrhage only 30
minutes before she succumbed.

  Born Alta Ferguson on June 10, 1879, in
Richland county, Mrs. Allemang was the
daughter of Frank Ferguson and Semantha
Ferguson. On Nov. 5, 1902, she was
married to Otis Allemang and they lived
in Richland county until Dec. 1, 1919,
when they moved to Juneau county.

  Mr. and Mrs. Allemang first bought the
Emil Wermuth farm at the foot of Mile
Bluff and later occupied several other
farms in this same neighborhood.

  Surviving Mrs. Allemang are her
husband, Otis, a son of Long Beach,
Calif., two daughters, both of Mauston
as well as eight grandchildren, a half
brother, and three half sisters.
