The body of Walter Hartwig, 67,
who died Sunday, Oct. 17, follow
ing a heart attack at his home in
Detroit, Mich., was brought to
Medford, his birthplace, for burial. Rev. Albert G. Hemer of Mon
dovi will conduct funeral services
at 2 o'clock this afternoon, Thurs
day, at the Hartwig and Ruesch
funeral home, and burial will take
place in the Medford Evergreen
cemetery. Walter Henry Hartwig was born in Medford on November 2, 1886. He left here in 1901 as a young man to take employment in Nigara Falls. For the past 21 years he had been employed by the Ford Motor company at Detroit as a wood pattern maker. He was married to Lillie Folland in 1912 at Windsor, Canada. The deceased is survived by his wife, Lillie; sisters, Martha, Mrs. Cash Allamang, and Lydia, Mrs. Ned Molbreak, both of Madison; Hermina, Mrs. Lloyd Comeau, Oshkosh; Freda, Mrs. A.G. Hemer, Mondovi; and a brother, Paul Hartwig, of Elmhurst, Ill. One brother and three sisters preceded him in death. |
