	Marvin Colby died in the Ogle County Alsmhouse (County Farm) on December 24, 1902 at 1:00 a.m. - according to his death certificate. He was a laborer who was born in Rockvale Township, Ogle County and lived in Illinois all of his life. His cause of death was Dropsy - Paralysis.

	Sophia Lubz was born in Germany. She was a servant who lived in Illinois for 15 years. Sophia had cancer for four years and died at the age of 80 in the Almshouse (County Farm).

In a local newspaper around 1970 it was reported that 74 stones were placed back in the cemetery after a lengthy land dispute. In 2004, I found 74 stones and transcribed them to the best of my ability, but...

Please keep in mind:

Most of the stones are over 100 years old and have significant wear.

The transcription done in the 1980s has 89 names and I do not know where the additional 15 originated.

The Almshouse Register Index from the late 1800s - early 1900s was transcribed from the original hand-written records and is subject to human error and interpretation.

As was common in that time, some of these people could not read or write and they relied upon the Almshouse personnel to document their name as they pronounced it.

I made some assumptions based on age and date of death in order to match them up with the Almshouse records.
